Donna Allen is a native of Tampa, Florida. She was a cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League, in the late 70s, when she got her started performing with local bands before launching a solo career. Her 1986 debut album Perfect Timing, included the uptempo single Serious and the followup single Satisfied. Her second album, Heaven On Earth, released in 1988 had a remake of Maze and Frankie Beverlys Joy and Pain that did well on the R&B charts.
